The weathered winter hard resists
Symphonic Spring of movements brusque;
Thund’rous moments, downpours, mists
In ostenato, until dusk
When agèd sunlight, all but brown
Spills liquid great gigantic gold
Across the flooded mudded ground
To vanquish Winter’s stranglehold.
As watered sunshine softly sows
A topaz garden in the grass,
The molten sunlight river flows
Beyond the day, horizon-past.
